Recreational Trailheads
Client: WA State Department of Natural Resources

Project Description: This project
consists of five trailheads providing parking and/or access to eighty
miles of trail located on Tiger Mountain State Forest. The project
was completed under employment with WA State DNR. The project included
leading community meetings, acquiring grant funds, designing five trailheads,
applying for permits and managing construction. Design elements
included parking layouts, composting toilets, information kiosks, access
trails, signage, bicycle racks, hitching posts and equestrian dismount
ramps. The trailheads were designed to meet the American Disabilities
Act (ADA) requirements.
Level of Services: Grant
applications and presentations, public meetings and hearings, site inventory
and analysis, master plan, landscape design, cost assessment, plans package
(layout plans, dimensions and grading plan, planting plan, construction
details, specifications, quantities list), and construction management.
